Do you immediately get the urge to plan your year once January comes? Same. Although I say “no” to most things, I like to have an overview of the year for the big stuff, like traveling. So knowing what’s coming to Disney World in 2023 is important because it could help you decide whether this […]

One of the most significant changes in Walt Disney World is the Magical Express, the free shuttle at Orlando Airport (MCO) is kaput. This leaves us standing on the sidewalk with a toddler on our hip, bags under our eyes — and in our hands — wondering how we’re getting to our hotel room. If you’re […]

Magic Kingdom is talked about the most when it comes to tips for bringing little kids, which makes sense. It has what most toddlers and kids want to see: Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, etc., plus classics like Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain. For me, no matter how many years go […]

In this post, I’m sharing an unassuming spot in Hollywood Studios that’s perfect for a quick, easy, and inexpensive breakfast. As a mom of 2, I’m always on the hunt for anything that makes our park day more chill, and I know we’ll be coming back to this spot again and again. Hint: there are […]

It’s the season of magic (apparently) but sometimes it’s hard to not see all the full parking lots, long lines, sale emails — seriously, why are there SO many emails this year! — and the pressure of getting the perfect gift. I rounded up my 8 favorite things that I’ve purchased for my Disney-loving self […]

Going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, or as the experts say “MVMCP”? If not this year, maybe you’re thinking about getting tickets in 2023? One of my OG Laid-back Magic members (for real, I love her) just got back from Walt Disney World and had lots to say about the party.

There’s a little bit of hidden treasure in Magic Kingdom and it’s tucked away in Adventureland in the cutest French-colonial-meets-Victorian building. Keep reading for my Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper’s Canteen review Home to our favorite restaurant in Magic Kingdom: Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen (a mouthful that I hope they never change), a sit-down […]

On our last family vacation, my daughter was getting down to the nubs of her new colored pencils. The always-prepared-one in our family whipped out a pencil sharpener and looked at me like, what…you don’t carry a pencil sharpener around? Truth is, I wish I was that always-prepared person, but usually I have everything BUT […]

When we visit Disney World, we usually stay at the Boardwalk because of its location + vibes. But this time was different: we really wanted a 1-bedroom over a studio, since we have TWO daughters now. When I went to WDW’s website to book, the prices hurt my feelings. I immediately put in a request […]

Fastpass – the free passes that let you skip the long lines in WDW – is gone, dead, kaput. It’s been replaced with a system called Disney Genie+ and the Lightning Lane which I used every day of our recent trip to Disney. From this post you’ll learn all about Disney World’s new Lightning Lanes, […]

Just like an artist sketches before adding paint, sketching out your week in Disney World is a crucial (and to me, the most fun) part. Setting a foundation helps you hone in on what your family wants to experience. We all do this without realizing it. If you’ve planned a trip before, what’s the first […]

My husband and I first went to Disney World together almost 13 years ago. After that trip, we couldn’t wait to bring our kids there. Walking them down Main Street, getting their first pair of ears, riding Peter Pan for the first time. All of it. And yes, of course, I was excited about the […]

What’s My Disney Experience? “My Disney Experience” is a section of Disney World’s website where you sign in to your account and control ALL of your vacation plans: park tickets, dining reservations, FastPasses (when they’re back) MagicMobile, and a lot more. You can even unlock your resort room. When you download the My Disney Experience app onto your phone, […]

We love staying on property at Disney World since you get free transportation to all the parks and Disney Springs, can get in 30 minutes sooner than everyone else (yay), and SOON: be able to book your Lightning Lane selections at 7AM, while everyone else has to wait until park opening. Deciding you’re staying at […]

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is admittedly our favorite park, so I always plan two half-day visits. One for a morning-until-lunch day, and the other to see Pandora World at night with a dinner reservation. For the first day, we would get a Genie+ for Kilimanjaro Safaris in the morning, do our park things, and finish with lunch before going back to our resort.
