DASHBOARD

Hey! My name is Dana and I'm the creator of Laid-back Magic. I'm so honored that you've joined the planning crew!

Welcome to Laid-back Magic!

Chapter 1: BOOK YOUR RESORT

MEET THE CREATOR

START PLANNING!👇🏼

The most important step is probably the easiest. Decide when and where you want to stay and make this trip real!

Chapter 2: SKETCH YOUR TRIP

Just like an artist sketches before putting adding any paint or ink, we have to get a birds-eye view of our vacation before putting anything in stone.

Chapter 3: RESERVE DINING

I've cracked the code for getting hard-to-get dining reservations in Disney World. This chapter covers my favorite dining spots, character dining, and more.

Chapter 4: GETTING AROUND

Find how to get from your resort to the parks, and recommendations on the most important form of transportation: strollers!

Chapter 5: ADD MORE MAGIC

Confirm park hours and add any extras -- like Magic Bands! -- before you start packing and getting ready for your trip. Start getting excited!

A LITTLE NOTE FROM ME

The "chapters" listed on your Dashboard will walk you through planning before your trip starts.

There are more guides to help you for once you step foot in the parks.

PACKING HELP

Have a question?

I know how well you know your family. Your biggest superpower is knowing what your family needs before they realize they do. Your son "looks" a certain way before he comes down with a fever. You have a feeling when you lay your baby down that they're going to sleep through the night (Lord, please sleep through...)

No one thinks twice when they open a drawer and see clean laundry, with the things starting to get small towards the back for hand-me-downs. Your partner counts on you to remember the birthday presents, those school forms and scheduling swim lessons.

You're simply good at knowing.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I googled. I read the books, the blogs, and searched aaaall the hashtags. Only to find out after she was born that the thing I actually needed to rely on was my instincts.

There's something you need to know: planning for Disney World is the same.

The reason you're feeling overwhelmed is the same reason I did when I first started planning our family trips 10 years ago: because the options and advice feel ENDLESS. And when you feel that way, you have to have an intention, an ending, a destination. Because you can't write a story without knowing how you want it to end (or maybe you'll just go crazy.)

Ask yourself: How do I want to feel after our vacation? Do I want to feel relaxed? Or maybe connected? Do I want to feel inspired, invigorated? Loved?

Like all your other jobs, you are the best person to plan your trip to Disney. Not me, not a travel agent, not your Disney-loving friend (bless her), just you.

Your vacation isn't going to be *magical* because of where you're going, it's because your family is going to make it that way.

Laid-back Magic was designed especially for you: it will teach you how to create a streamlined, carefully-curated vacation that inspires connection above all else. A trip where you come home tired, but deliciously in love with your family.

And when you do get overwhelmed, I'll be here to help. If you have a question, just ask. Because my superpower is knowing not only my family - but the most magical place on Earth, too.

Love, Dana
