skin oil // tanning water // sunscreen // complexion stick // bronzer // blush // eyebrow pencil // eyebrow gel // mascara // setting spray
Just like at home, getting out the door to head to the magic of the parks means two things: easy and FAST.
I hope this routine inspires you to prioritize getting yourself ready so you’re looking and feeling good all day in Disney World!
Before I start my makeup, I massage in one pump of Great Skin to help wake me up and let it soak in while I brush my teeth.
When I need a bit of a tan without the help of actual sun, I do a few sprays of Salty Face’s Tanning Water. You could skip these two things and go straight to…
Adding a great face sunscreen. I have tried SO MANY and could never make it a habit because everything I tried either broke me out or gave a weird white case. Elta MD’s UV Clear is 46 SPF and melts in beautifully and gives a little dewy finish without being greasy.
Next I go in with Merit’s Complexion Stick (I’m in the shade Ochre in the winter, and Sand during the summer.) Foundation feels too heavy to me and accentuates my not-so-perfect skin, so I love that I can just add it where I need it.
It’s easy to blend in touch ups later if I come back to the room before dinner, just a quick swirl of a brush does the trick.
This brush by Merit is ideal, but when I’m traveling I opt for this $7 double-sided brush because I can use it to apply my bronzer and blush with the other side.
Next I use Merit’s bronzer stick (I use the shade Clay) along my hairline, above my cheekbones, down the sides of my nose, and a little down my neck.
Then I add Ilia’s blush in “At Last” above the bronzer line on my cheek, and very high to give a little lift.
I’ll do a quick swipe across my lips and on the bridge of my nose, too. Definitely the most versatile product in my makeup bag!
I have very blonde eyebrows and will do a quick C-shaped sweep with an eyebrow pencil a touch above my natural browline so I look more awake. A quick brush on top of Glossier’s Bow Boy in Blonde and I’m good to go.
PS: You’re not doing to find me wearing mascara in Disney World unless we’re headed out to dinner.
Between my oily lids (LOL), sweat, and being completely crushed by a sole splash on Pirates of the Caribbean, I’ve learned I’m better off going au naturale.
If I’m wearing anything though, it’s definitely going to be my go-to waterproof mascara.
*patiently waits for blonde, straight, down-turned lashes to start trending*
This is the most important step: setting everything with my beloved Urban Decay’s All-nighter.
I used this spray back when I was in the wedding industry and my makeup had to *somewhat* last from 8am to midnight.
3-4 sprays will seal everything in to keep it from sliding around, even when all of the products I use are creamy!

My life doesn't revolve around Disney like you may think. I live for my family: my husband and our three kids. In my spare time I like to make my home the best it can be, read on our porch and watch (you guessed it) Disney+.

I've planned our family vacations to Walt Disney World, ranging in ages, sizes, and circumstances; without kids, with one kid, and now with two! From these trips, I've learned what not to do and want to share them with you.
