Okay? Okay. Let’s move on to the good stuff!
About five years ago, I bought this backpack for a family trip.
It’s turned into our FAVORITE backpack. It gets abused: rained on, spilled on, everything. It’s officially my favorite bag to bring into the Disney parks.
Now you know my trade secret when it comes to the perfect diaper bag, backpack, purse…whatever you want to call it for Disney World.
I’m a big believer in “less is more” when it comes to Disney. You will definitely find things *missing* from this list, but that’s how we roll. So, what do we bring?
1. Low-sugar snacks in Stasher bags
When we get to our resort, I have an Amazon Prime Now order waiting for me full of nutrient-dense, easy snacks like raw cashews, dried apricots, grapes, carrots + pretzels.
2. A Gathre mat + bib
I use Gathre’s micro mat as a placemat at restaurants so I know the surface is clean/mine, but it doubles as a changing mat. Wipe it down, roll it up, done. If your baby’s at the eating stage, throw a bib in, too.
3. Reusable water thermoses
Did you know water from a Disney Quick Service is free? They’ve been adding more water-filling stations, too!
Story’s favorite travel cup is the Yeti kid thermos. This thing is SOLID and never leaks.
I’ve been eyeing the LARQ bottle since my friend Elanaloo shared it. The price is worth it to me because it purifies any water through a UV light. So cool, right?
4. Baby Carrier
I wore Story in a Wildbird sling for about 80% of our park days. This time around I’d pack a Solly Baby wrap, but really any baby carrier you love is key. Throw on a wide-brim hat protect you (and baby) from too much sun.
5. Sweatshirt for the kiddos
Because I swear inside the Nemo + Friends ride is negative 8473 degrees.
6. Reusable Utensils
We try to cut down on our plastic by bringing our own utensils for Quick Service spots.
7. Change of clothes for each kiddo
I love bringing rompers since it’s just one easy piece to throw on. This one is too cute!
8. Play Dough and stickers!
I will have Play Dough and puffy stickers covering our entire Signature Dining table. I try to stick to a theme like mermaids, pirates, fairies, etc to keep it Disney-esque.
9. Diapers (or potty seat) + wipes
I love this dispenser so I can easily grab a Water Wipe when I’m inevitably covered in something sticky.
I didn’t include this in the graphic, but we brought this travel potty seat while Story was newly potty-trained and LOVED it. It folds up super small!
10. Travel Umbrella
Unpopular Disney opinion: I won’t buy or wear a poncho. I always keep a travel umbrella in my bag and a stroller rain cover in the boot of the stroller. Done + done.
11. Muslin Blanket
Use something like this for over the stroller, as a picnic/parade blanket, to keep off the chill, a burp cloth, a nursing cover…all the things.
I’ll be sharing more tips on Disney with kiddos over on my Instagram if you want to follow along. See you there!
My life doesn't revolve around Disney like you may think. I live for my family: my husband and our three kids. In my spare time I like to make my home the best it can be, read on our porch and watch (you guessed it) Disney+.
